Shane Allen
Since the age of 16, Shane Allen has been a working musician and dedicated student of the jazz tradition, blessed with the opportunity to learn from modern giants as well as classic masters.
After graduating from the acclaimed jazz program at Houston, TX’s High School for Performing and Visual Arts, Shane was a four-year staple member of St. Olaf College’s top jazz band, which won Downbeat Magazine’s Best Large Ensemble award in 2011.
Since graduating, he has worked as a modern/ballet dance accompanist, played for lindy hop house parties in Minneapolis, and haunted the many late night jams at Herräng Dance Camp.
Glenn Griffith
After receiving his Master’s from North Texas State University in jazz arranging, Glenn Griffith joined the S/S Norway in-house big band as lead trombonist, backing up acts such as Lou Rawls, the 5th Dimension, Pearl Bailey and Natalie Cole. During the yearly Floating Jazz Festivals, Glenn performed in the bands of Clark Terry, Ed Shaughnessy, Erskine Hawkins, Ray Anthony and Lionel Hampton alongside such jazz greats as Jon Faddis, Al Grey and Keeter Betts. In 1992 Glenn made Eugene his home and has performed with local groups such as the Starlighters Big Band, Caliente, Eugene Symphony, Eugene Opera and Oregon Bach Festival. Since 1998 Glenn has been traveling the Mississippi river aboard the Mississippi Queen and American Queen paddlewheel steamboats playing traditional New Orleans jazz.

Lauren Alvarez
We are SO excited to have DJ Lauren Alvarez all the way from Minnesota!
In Lauren’s own words:
“She’s chunky. She’s funky. And she’ll play you some soul at the end of the night if you’re lucky. Lauren’s favorite part of DJing is reading a room and playing what they want to hear – and she hopes it’s those cozy, groovy tunes that she likes so much
“
